This case study explores why and how Sushi Hub uses Cybercast Digital Signage throughout their network of shops for its centralised display of promotional offers to communicate, engage and interact with their valued customers.

The Opportunity:

During the 2020 pandemic, there was an urgency to replace static posters and notice boards with responsive, centralised communication tools to display up-to-date Covid-19 protocols. There were also internal needs to quickly and accurately update & maintain operating theatre timetables to staff and relevant personnel.

Epworth required a solution to easily manage and update content in real time, broadcast operating theatre schedules to staff, and introduce digital residency directories. With multiple display endpoints serving various functions, finding a technology partner offering an effective, tailored solution was crucial.

The Solution: 

With multiple digital digital display endpoints at different locations for different purposes, there were many components to the project and it was important for Epworth to find an effective and bespoke solution.

Cybercast provided a comprehensive solution, including a wide range of hardware and accessories and the implementation of Cybercast’s CMS software platform. From installation to support and training, Cybercast implemented a wide range of digital displays across Epworth’s facilities, including ultra-HD screens, capacitive touchscreens and video walls. These digital displays were installed in various locations, such as building entry points, waiting rooms, corridors, theatre areas and administration areas.

The Cybercast CMS was able to configure and accommodate the widespread locations of displays and their associated content, allowing easy management and monitoring from a single point.

Operating Theatre Schedules:

Previously, the operating schedule was hand-written by an administrator on a traditional whiteboard. This required physical attendance and manual changes which was time-consuming with information accuracy not guaranteed. 

Working together with the Epworth team, Cybercast developed an expert bespoke application that enabled the theatre schedules to be uploaded and displayed on digital screens across different locations remotely, simply from one computer. 

Live updates became just one click away, guiding doctors and nurses to their assigned theatres accurately and in a timely manner.  

Digital Directories

Another bespoke application was the Digital Residency Directory, displaying key information including doctor profiles, services provided and room location. With residents constantly shifting and changing, Cybercast digital signage ensures that the resident information is always up to date, anywhere.

Touchscreen Kiosks:

Touchscreen kiosks were deployed across Epworth’s facilities, providing various types of messaging. From Covid related updates to doctor profiles and donor recognition, communication and information are able to be published easily across either the entire network or on location-specific screens.
